The meeting on the preliminary report of the study on the evaluation and reform of the organs, bodies and other structures of APPA was held from June 27th to July 1st, 2016 in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
The initiative to conduct the evaluation and reform of the Association, after more than 25 years of existence, was taken in March 2014 by the Ministers and plenipotentiaries of APPA during their 31st Ordinary Session held in Malabo in Equatorial Guinea.
To achieve this, the Council of Ministers set up an Inter - Ministerial Ad hoc Committee composed of Angola, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Libya, Niger and Chad.
Within the framework of its mission, the Ad hoc Committee proceeded to the selection, by international tender, of the firm FICHTNER for a study whose recommendations will be submitted to the 34th Session of the Council of Ministers scheduled in Abidjan in March 2017.
During this meeting, the firm FICHTNER submitted its preliminary report to the representatives of the Member Countries of the Inter - Ministerial Ad hoc Committee extended to all the APPA Member Countries. Participants examined the proposals of FICHTNER and proposed amendments to be considered by the firm in the provisional report of the study.
The next meeting is scheduled from 19th to 22nd September 2016 in Cotonou, Benin.
